If you've just gotten into Temtem, you are likely getting close to
your first Dojo (Gym). This is the Arissola Dojo, and you will need to
go there and defeat the leader to progress in the story! We're taking an
in-depth look at how to beat Sophia, the leader of the Arissola Dojo!
If we check out our Temtem Type Chart, we know that Water Type is weak to Nature, Electric, and Toxic Types. Wind Type on the other hand, are weak to only Electric type Temtem. So, that means we would like to focus on Electric, Nature, and Toxic Types of Temtem and Techniques if possible!
The puzzle in the Dojo is pretty simple, just keep bouncing around and explore all of the areas. There's some items to be found if you look around that will help you with the battles. Once you've defeated all of the trainers, go ahead and leave to heal up your Temtem before battling with Sophia!
If you picked Crystle as your starter, it will do well against Sophie's sole Electric Type, Sparzy. If you picked Houchic, be careful when Sophie rotates in the Sparzy because it will be countered by it!
Other than those particular Temtem, you should be able to do fine as long as your team is leveled up enough to withstand attacks and dish out enough damage to take down the rest of Sophia's Temtem!
Beating the Tamers in the Arissola Dojo
All of the tamers in this Dojo will be using mainly Wind and Water Type Temtem. The Temtem they use are all-around level 17 - 22, so make sure your team is leveled up enough to beat them. You will also want to make sure you grab some healing supplies (Balm, Tonic, and Revives) at the local item shop before heading in for battle. If we check out our Temtem Type Chart, we know that Water Type is weak to Nature, Electric, and Toxic Types. How to Beat Sophia
Sophia has a group of Temtem that is mostly weak to Electric, although she does also use a solo Electric type that we might need to be worried about. The highest level of her Temtem is 21, so hopefully your team is remotely in that area or you might struggle.Sophia's Temtem List
- Level 15: Sparzy (Electric)
- Level 16: Kalabyss (Water/Toxic)
- Level 16: Loali (Nature/Wind)
- Level 18: Pigepic (Wind)
- Level 21: Oceara (Water)
- Level 21: Tuwai (Wind)
Best Temtem for Defeating Sophia
We've mentioned it many times, but we really need a higher level Electric type on our team to carry the day. Ganki, is going to be a great option for this! These can be found at the Thalassian Cliffs, The Gifted Bridges, or Windward Fort pretty commonly in the grass. Toxic is another great typing against the majority of the Temtem that Sophia has out. There's no real great Toxic Types you can find early in the game, but you can level up a Swali into a Loali. Loali learns Urushiol, which is a fairly strong Toxic Type move that will do well for you!If you picked Crystle as your starter, it will do well against Sophie's sole Electric Type, Sparzy. If you picked Houchic, be careful when Sophie rotates in the Sparzy because it will be countered by it!
